
In December 2009, Lock Haven University's M.Ed. in Alternative Education will surpass the 100 mark for graduates in one of the most innovative at-risk education programs available to education professionals in the nation. Teachers, administrators and others from 15 states, China, Korea and Canada have taken courses in our program. The Alternative Education program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
Lock Haven University M.Ed. Alternative Education graduates are turning their experiences at LHU into success in many areas of education. Among the most recent graduates are:
* teachers and administrators in regular, alternative, correctional and urban settings
* A graduate's selection to the Fulbright-Hayes Group Project to South Africa by the U.S. Department of Education
* Acceptance of students into doctoral programs in education, organizational development, and others
* entrance into higher education teaching and administrative positions
